The Vines Hospital offers highly structured adult programs that
utilize a multidisciplinary team approach for treating adults (ages
18 and over) who are experiencing problems with psychiatric
illnesses and/or emotional problems. These programs are designed to
provide the highest level of direct patient care that is possible,
which includes physical, social, spiritual, medical and
psychotherapeutic treatment interventions.
Treatment & Discharge Planning
Before admission to any of the adult programs, patients receive
a comprehensive assessment of their mental, physical and spiritual
needs to determine the most appropriate level of care. The
treatment team, led by the attending psychiatrist, develops an
individual treatment plan for each patient and meets regularly to
review each patient's progress and to update treatment goals. The
Vines recognizes that recovery and healing is a lifelong process
and therefore discharge planning begins upon admission. The
treatment team works closely with each patient to set realistic
goals for continuing care following treatment and makes available
information or referral for further services as necessary.
